DAARCHLEA is a six-piece band originated from the city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with a positive and refreshing attitude to modern metal that is certain to take over the music scene by storm. The band’s conquest began in 2007 when guitarists Zulhelmy and Khairulazizi came together with singular desire to create an uncompromising extreme metal band on their own. Having always been fond of melodious atmospherics, they recruited like-minded and fresh musicians with the goal of rupturing the peripheries of what was deemed as "black metal". Tradition of thick riffs, pounding drums, symphonic and orchestral elements merged with heavy and progressive riffs tied it all together ; captured a sound that is uniquely their own, and together the band have created their visions of the future of extreme metal. An undeniable love for Behemoth, DimmuBorgir, Cradle of Filth, Aneroxia Nervosa, Dark Funeral and Emperor had inspired their early works and song-compositions. The band has progressively carved a niche of their own within today’s overcrowded Metal scene. While most bands struggle to evolve and stay vital within the extreme music genre, the band continues to push the envelope of modern extreme metal music.
